Ellipsometric investigations of mixed adsorption layers of polyallylamine hydrochloride with sodium dodecyl sulphate at the water/air interface

Abstract

The present work is devoted to the study of surface tension by tensiometry, adsorption and thickness of mixed adsorption layers of PAAH-SDS by ellipsometry at the water/air interface. Surface tension isotherm correlates with ellipsometry parameter curve of PAAH-SDS mixed adsorption layers. It is shown that the adsorption and the thickness of mixed adsorption layers increase with  SDS concentration till 3 nm.
