Abstract

It has been established that acceleration of cobalt (II) dipyridyl complexes Co(dipy)32+ electroreduction on a mercury electrode is caused by stabilization of Co(dipy)3 reduction forms. It has been show that stabilization of these complexes is caused by formation of outer-sphere associates adsorbed on an electrode surface with anions of supporting electrolytes stability of which increases in a row CI - <NO3 - <CIO4-.
